Sometimes there’s more to business than making money, as a Teesside firm proved when they extended a helping hand to a local charity hit by financial crisis. Marie Turbill reports.

HAVE you heard of MAIN? You soon will.

It’s the new name for a Teesside charity that may have previously slipped under your radar.

But all that is about to change as the support service for individuals and families living with autism, formerly known as The Main Project, has undergone a massive rebranding campaign, with the help of Stokesley-based Better brand agency.

Well done Alistair…

Our friend and client Alistair Griffins ‘JUST DRIVE’ has been announced as the title music for Sky Sports coverage of Formula 1 and will feature on the brand new Channel opening titles. The track, originally released in 2010, has been re-recorded for Sky Sports F1 HD and now features the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and young singers from Berkshire-based Rodolfus Choir.

A brand evolution.
I’m excited to let you know this will be our last newsletter under the existing brand. The company has grown significantly since we launched in 2008, and although the brand has helped position Better effectively we feel it’s time to change, although we’re not throwing the baby out with the bath water! We’re in the final stages of the re-brand that will see a new identity, language, website and supporting marketing materials which will develop the Better story for the next stage of business growth. ArtsBank select Better for brand development, ongoing creative and marketing support

ArtsBank is a major new artistic initiative, privately funded, and based on Teesside. Successful local businessman Bryan Goodall (FRSA and chairman of the Hambleton Group) has formed ArtsBank, with a £600k initial investment. ArtsBank aims to give a massive boost to the work of creative people across the north east, and beyond.

It has acquired and converted a substantial Victorian property (the old HSBC bank) in the heart of the beautiful and spectacular resort of Saltburn-by-the-Sea. The whole building has been transformed into a five-floor gallery and centre for the arts, with something for everyone. (more…)

Yarm School choose Better for website design and development

Yarm School, a coeducational day school, is situated in the attractive and historic town of Yarm on a beautiful stretch of the River Tees. It was established in 1978 to provide high quality education for pupils aged 11 to 18. It has its own Preparatory School for boys and girls aged 7 to 10, an Early School for boys and girls aged 4 to 6 years and a Nursery for 3 year-olds. In addition, there is a satellite junior school in Darlington, Yarm at Raventhorpe, run and owned as part of Yarm School. It accommodates 100 pupils 3-11. (more…)
