Date:
08/05/2013

The concern was that at its very worst this could result in the death of UK creative industries, which currently employ around 2 million people.

A talk entitled ‘The Next Creative Generation’ at Cheltenham Design Festival addressed this topic and encouraged debate amongst attendees, all of whom are engaged in some kind of way in the UK creative world. Speaking at this talk were Sir Christopher Frayling – Professor at RCA, Tim Lindsay – CEO of D&AD and Adrian Shaughnessy – writer for Eye, Creative Review and Design Observer (Chair) – three extremely passionate and inspirational personalities. We booked our tickets early for the Cheltenham Design Festival and couldn’t wait for the event to come around. When it did we were not disappointed.

We took the road trip down and soaked up every bit of the atmosphere, enjoyed some networking with other creative thinkers, and helped celebrate how original thought can change the world. The promise of inspiration was delivered in style through the diverse mix of studio events, auditorium presentations, and interactive discussions sending our team back up north full of ideas, feeling motivated and brimming with creativity. So, we got the call from the guys are Barbarella to design a bespoke event invite for a unique ‘Wonka Style’ Brunch event at Barbarella London. We love a challenge like this.

The invite itself was designed as a ‘Golden Ticket’ and invited selected guests to a scrumdiddlyumptious afternoon of ‘Wonka’ style entertainment including musical hosts DJ Charles Brafman, co-owner of DWTDJ and recently back from a months long residency at PRIVA Barbados! Then, fresh out of Brooklyn, guests will be entertained by DJ Trauma flying over to bring some bad ass New York City beats to the party!  (more…)
