Cornerstone’s 1st Annual Black Tie Ball in aid of Butterwick Hospice Care

We’ve already booked our tickets for the Cornerstone Business Solutions 1st Annual Black Tie Ball.  It’s all in aid of Butterwick Hospice Care, who’s aim is to improve the quality of life for those who have a life limiting illness and their families.

So, maybe you should get booked up too. Not only will you be helping a great local charity, but it’s sure to be a very enjoyable and entertaining evening. The Ball, held at Middlesbrough Football Club on Friday 24th May, features a champagne reception, 4 course dinner, auction/raffle, casino tables, photo booth and a few other treats including special guest ex-boro legend Craig Hignett.

The visual story of our Cheltenham Design Festival experience

We booked our tickets early for the Cheltenham Design Festival and couldn’t wait for the event to come around. When it did we were not disappointed.

We took the road trip down and soaked up every bit of the atmosphere, enjoyed some networking with other creative thinkers, and helped celebrate how original thought can change the world. The promise of inspiration was delivered in style through the diverse mix of studio events, auditorium presentations, and interactive discussions sending our team back up north full of ideas, feeling motivated and brimming with creativity. A Touch of Class Raises over £20,000

Steven Bell owner of Chapters Hotel and Restaurant has spoken of his delight at raising another fantastic amount of £20,872 with the fabulous Touch of Class Ball held at Gisborough Hall on Saturday 6th October, this now takes the total raised over the 7 years to £134,372 – an amazing feat!

A Touch of Class is the annual fundraising dinner that Steven Bell, who owns Chapters Hotel & Restaurant and with his Brother Peter, the house designer wear , host in aid of the Holistic Cancer Care Centre . (more…)

Middlesbrough College and the Digital Youth Academy launch World’s first Social Media Apprenticeship

Enterprise, entrepreneurship, skills development, digital, social media and Teesside, all things that are very close to our hearts. So, we were honoured to be there, recently, when Teesside grabbed another World first as the ‘Social Media Apprenticeship’ was launched through a partnership between Middlesbrough College and the Digital Youth Academy. 

The apprenticeship is designed to support young people in harnessing their online knowledge – and understanding of social media tools – in order to help them find work within businesses struggling to fully understand the opportunities created through constantly evolving digital platforms.

Social media and digital marketing is now a critical part of business and brand communication. That’s why we’ve invested heavily in supporting our clients and our business networks by delivering workshops focused around not only understanding the tools but, more importantly, the conversation that happens across them. So, for us, it’s exciting to see the introduction of some formal development and accreditation around such a new(ish) and unaccredited area of marketing communication. (more…)
