Refresh Teesside’s February Event. Be there and be square

In Teesside there are hundreds of creative businesses who can benefit from knowing each other. Many of the businesses are relatively small in size, focusing on a specific skill or service. Everyone can benefit from knowing other professionals in their own trades and networking with other professionals who offer skills and services they may require in the future.

Registration will be between 6 and 6.30pm. The Refresh team will greet you and ensure you are registered. At 6.30pm there will be an introduction to the event with any announcements. After this, it’s up to you to get out of the event what you want. (more…)

A TOUCH OF CLASS 2011 RAISES £13,500!

The fabulous Touch of Class Ball, which has been supported by Better now for over 3 years, is the annual fundraising dinner that is hosted in aid of the Holistic Cancer Care Centre and this year’s glitzy sell-out event was held on Friday 7^th October at the delightful Gisborough Hall Hotel.

Steven who owns Chapters Hotel & Restaurant and with his Brother Peter, the house designer wear , has spoken of his delight at raising another fantastic amount of £13,500 with the event held at Gisborough Hall on Friday 7th October. This now takes the total raised over the 6 years to £113,500 – an amazing feat!

Steven and Peter would like to express their thanks for the continuos support and generosity received from sponsors Glamal Engineering, KAEFER Group, Better Brand Agency, Gisborough Hall Hotel, Court Homemakers, Whittakers Jewellers, Middlesbrough Football Club,  &The Flower Box to name but a few.

Many conferences make the claim that they are designed for their audiences, but -Business Link has literally asked attendees at the popular “Keep Your Business Fighting Fit” series of workshops “What do you need to be Fighting Fit?”, using the feedback to design this year’s Fighting Fit programme.

Over 50% of delegates attending the workshops answered “Social Media”. This annual get together of North East businesses provides a great opportunity to network and party with the best in the region. This year’s event took place at Northern Stage which is always a great backdrop to the awards. A day at the Conference & Hospitality Show in Leeds

It was my first time at the fantastically organised Conference & Hospitality Show that is now in its 3rd year and becoming a major draw for businesses working in the conference and hospitality sector. I was invited to deliver a seminar focused on good practice and highlighting some innovative use of social media by businesses in the sector and provided with a stand in the exhibitors hall so I could get the most out of the day.
