In 2009 the team at the University of Northumbria Students’ Union (UNSU) ask Better to provide a design and template for the newly relaunched monthly student magazine. We created the first year of issues before handing over the task to the student design team.
During our time working on the magazine we put in place a design style that focussed on the vibrant variety of activity that happens in and around UNSU with features that ranged from socialising, fashion, cooking on a student budget and health issues.
Pages were layed out in a style that became familiar for the student journalists working on articles and also for those who became regular readers.
