Next month, Better will be getting involved in Contentable, which is a content marketing event run by Stick Theory and funded by Northumbria University, Newcastle City Council and the Business & IP Centre in Newcastle.
The free event, which will take place over two days in Middlesbrough and Gateshead, has been designed with SMEs in mind and aims to help them to tackle difficult questions they may face when it comes to digital marketing.
Contentable will explore key industry subjects such as blogging, SEO, AdWords, video, and social media; and will ply delegates with the essential knowledge to grow their businesses using the power of the web.
Mark will be once again donning his speaking hat to join other experienced industry experts and entrepreneurs, taking the room to deliver insight to local companies about how best to market their content to reap the most rewards from it.
The overall tone of the event itself will be quite informal, giving attendees the opportunity to network, gain invaluable knowledge from one another and hopefully forge useful connections.
What topics will be covered at Contentable?
The topics covered at both the Middlesbrough and Gateshead events will navigate around the content marketing landscape and then turn to the planning and delivery elements involved in the process. Here are some of the areas that will be explored:
- How to set campaign objectives and identify your target audience
- How to create good stories that your audience will like and share
- How to get found on Google, and the pros and cons of PPC and SEO
- How to use social media to share your story and grow your brand
- How to create really engaging video marketing content
- How to plan and manage digital content internationally
Joining Mark will be other industry experts such as Chris Taylor, founder of Superkrush Films and Jam Jar Studios, Sarah Hall, experienced PR consultant, Kieron Donoghue, business guru, and Ruth Lopardo, founder of an online children’s boutique; as well as many others.
“I’m really excited to be speaking at such a great event, sharing my view on how the world of marketing is evolving and how the opportunities for small business to thrive are so accessible these days just through sharing and engaging in great content”.
– Mark Easby, MD of Better Brand Agency
“The concept of “Attract, Convert, Close, Delight” by the inbound marketing brains at HubSpot is absolutely spot on when it comes to marketing content and it’s something that I will explain in more detail in my presentation”.
You can check out some of this wisdom in our inbound marketing series over at the Better blog, as well as advice on how to blog, romance Google and how to gain quality engagement through social media.
